In partnership with Yayasan Tanam Pohon Indonesia an organization formed by expatriates and local community with the concept of PLANT A TREE, Hino Indonesia planted 3,000 trees around the industrial estate of Kota Bukit Indah on 12th January 2008, where Hino Indonesia Factory is situated and 5,000 trees in Sentul at the outskirts of Jakarta on 15th March 2008. The aim of the activity is to counter the effect of carbon emission, increase absorption of ground water in the area and to create green lush environment. Up to date, the trees planted in 2007 have grown to approximately 3 meters tall. Yayasan Taman Pohon Indonesia is a non-profit voluntary organization established in 2007, with a mission to counter problems caused by the massive and increasing level of deforestation in Indonesia, raise awareness of environmental issues and role of forests in the ecosystem, take action against climate change and educate children on these issues and to PLANT TREES by using society's manpower.
