PT Hino Motors Sales Indonesia (HMSI) has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting human resource development in the transportation sector through a corporate social responsibility (CSR) program entitled “Link and Match Industry and Education.” This program was realized through the handover of one Hino 500 Series J08C Engine Running unit to the Road Transportation Safety Polytechnic (PKTJ).
Located at Jalan Semeru No. 3, Tegal City, Central Java, the CSR handover ceremony was conducted directly by Erwin Walesa, HCGA CARM Division Head of HMSI, to Bambang Istiyanto, Director of PKTJ. This assistance in the form of a Hino 500 Series J08C engine will be utilized as a practical learning tool for PKTJ students, particularly in understanding diesel engine technology for commercial vehicles widely used in the national transportation industry.
The presence of the Hino J08C engine as a learning medium is expected to provide students with hands-on experience in learning commercial vehicle technology, while also improving technical competencies relevant to the needs of the world of work. The J08C engine itself is one of Hino's flagship engines used in the Hino 500 Series line, known for its powerful performance, efficiency, and reliability in supporting various industries in Indonesia.
“This CSR program is part of Hino's long-term commitment to supporting vocational education development. Collaboration with educational institutions such as PKTJ is a strategic step to prepare the younger generation to face the challenges of the transportation industry in the future,” said Erwin Walesa, HCGA CARM Division Head of HMSI.
Meanwhile, Director of the Road Transportation Safety Polytechnic, Bambang Istiyanto, stated, “We welcome Hino's support. The presence of the Hino 500 J08C Series Engine Running will provide significant added value to the learning process, particularly in improving students' understanding of commercial vehicle technology used in the field.”
This CSR program is also in line with Hino's efforts to support sustainable development by strengthening social aspects, particularly in the fields of education and human resource competency development. By bringing together the worlds of industry and education, Hino hopes to contribute to producing competent, competitive transportation professionals who are ready to support the advancement of the national transportation sector.
Going forward, Hino is committed to continuing to present various collaborative initiatives with educational institutions as part of the company's active role in building a sustainable transportation industry ecosystem in Indonesia.
