PT Hino Motors Sales Indonesia (HMSI) held a handover ceremony for the first unit of the Hino Bus 136 MDBL 4x4 to PT Satria Jaya Sultra as part of the GIICOMVEC 2026 exhibition at JIEXPO Kemayoran. The symbolic handover was carried out directly by Anton Nugroho, GMB Division Head of HMSI, to H. Sukri Aras, owner of PT Satria Jaya Sultra. This ceremony marked an important milestone, as PT Satria Jaya Sultra became the first company to entrust its mining worker transportation needs to the newly launched Hino Bus 136 MDBL 4x4 at GIICOMVEC 2026. This decision reflects the real demand in the mining sector for worker transport vehicles that are durable, safe, and capable of operating optimally in harsh road conditions.
The Hino Bus 136 MDBL 4x4 was developed as a manhaul transportation solution to support worker mobility in mining and plantation areas. The vehicle is equipped with a four-wheel-drive system with a transfer case that optimally distributes power to both the front and rear wheels, providing maximum traction on slippery, rocky, and uphill terrains. In addition, the front stabilizer and wider track width enhance vehicle stability and reduce body roll when traversing off-road routes. With high ground clearance and a robust Euro 4 N04C engine, this unit is designed for intensive operations of up to 24 hours in demanding work environments.
Moreover, the Hino Bus 136 MDBL 4x4 is the only vehicle in its class produced directly by an authorized sole agent (ATPM) and has obtained the Type Approval Certificate (SUT), allowing it to be registered and legally operated on public roads. This advantage provides operational flexibility, enabling the vehicle to be used both in off-road sites and on public roads.
As a contractor company based in Southeast Sulawesi, PT Satria Jaya Sultra is known for its operational activities in the mining sector, including unit rental services, road contracting, and operational support in industrial areas. With a fleet of hundreds of vehicles operating across various mining locations, the need for safe and reliable worker transportation has become a top priority for the company.
“We need vehicles that are safe and durable to transport workers in mining areas. The Hino Bus 136 MDBL 4x4 provides the right solution as it is capable of operating in tough terrain while still ensuring comfort for workers,” said H. Sukri Aras, owner of PT Satria Jaya Sultra.
Through this unit handover, Hino once again reaffirmed its commitment to being a trusted partner by providing vehicles that are not only durable but also support safety and operational productivity. Supported by Hino’s extensive service network across Indonesia, the company ensures that every customer unit remains in optimal condition throughout its lifecycle. This commitment is realized through comprehensive after-sales services, including scheduled maintenance programs, guaranteed availability of genuine spare parts, easily accessible service facilities, and technical support from professional personnel ready to assist in the field. This approach is designed to minimize vehicle downtime, maintain customer operational productivity, and ensure that vehicles perform optimally across various terrains and business needs.
“The handover of the first Hino Bus 136 MDBL 4x4 unit to PT Satria Jaya Sultra demonstrates how Hino continues to deliver vehicles that meet customer operational needs in challenging terrains. We hope this unit will enhance the safety and efficiency of mining worker mobility,” concluded Anton Nugroho, GMB Division Head of HMSI.
