PT Hino Motors Sales Indonesia (HMSI) and PT Pertamina Patra Niaga officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on General Maintenance at the Gran Melia Hotel in Jakarta. This step is a tangible manifestation of the two companies' commitment to supporting reliable and sustainable national energy operations. The signing was carried out directly by Susilo Darmawan, Sales Director of HMSI, together with Mars Ega Legowo Putra as President Director of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, accompanied by Hari Purnomo, Director of Engineering & Land Infrastructure of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, and witnessed by the Board of Directors of both companies.
Through this MOU, 2,773 units of Pertamina Patra Niaga's tanker fleet using Hino vehicles will be managed under the General Maintenance program for the next 10 years. This program is national in scope and will be implemented across all Pertamina Patra Niaga operations and its subsidiaries in Indonesia, covering areas from Sumatra to Papua. With such extensive coverage, this strategic partnership is also clear evidence of the synergy between the national automotive industry and state-owned energy companies in supporting Indonesia's energy logistics resilience.
"We greatly appreciate Pertamina Patra Niaga's trust in Hino. This collaboration is not merely about vehicle maintenance but a comprehensive solution to enhance operational efficiency and safety. We are committed to delivering comprehensive solutions to ensure every Hino unit operates optimally, without disruptions, and supports Pertamina Patra Niaga in achieving its operational vision of zero accidents and zero downtime,” said Susilo Darmawan, Sales Director of HMSI.
This general maintenance partnership covers two main areas that are central to Pertamina Patra Niaga's fleet management. Through the implementation of the New Maintenance Management System (MMS), Hino provides a vehicle maintenance digitization system that records schedules, implementation, and reporting of service activities in real time through the vREM digital platform. This system supports transparency, efficiency, and full control over the condition of tank vehicles, which are at the forefront of national energy distribution. Through the digitization of a real-time data-based vehicle maintenance system, Hino strengthens its role as a pioneer of innovation in the commercial vehicle industry.
Meanwhile, the Maintenance Critical Parts (MCP) program is a continuous effort to ensure optimal vehicle performance by regularly replacing critical components, particularly three vital vehicle components: the braking system, clutch, and wheels, which impact the safety of the fleet and tanker truck crews.
The 61% dominance of Pertamina Patra Niaga's tanker fleet using Hino confirms the high level of trust in the quality, durability, and superior after-sales service of Hino throughout Indonesia. Through its extensive network of official Hino dealers throughout Indonesia, HMSI ensures the availability of genuine Hino parts, certified technician support, and continuous monitoring of unit performance. This commitment is in line with the spirit of Total Support, where Hino not only sells vehicles but also provides comprehensive solutions that keep customers' vehicles productive and efficient every day.
As the frontline of national energy distribution, Pertamina Patra Niaga's tanker fleet symbolizes the driving force of the nation's economy. Through this collaboration, Hino plays a role in ensuring the wheels of energy distribution keep turning without interruption.
“Safety and reliability are our priorities. With Hino's support through the General Maintenance system, we are confident that energy distribution operations can run more efficiently and safely, ensuring that the national energy supply is always maintained,” said Mars Ega Legowo Putra, President Director of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga.
This strategic partnership marks an important milestone in Hino’s journey to support Pertamina Patra Niaga in achieving efficient, safe, and sustainable energy transportation operations in line with the spirit of Total Support for Indonesia.
